“The Laws of the Giver”
There is a lie in this world: that to give is to be weak.
That to open your hand is to open your throat. But the truth is this - a true giver is dangerous… if they understand the laws of their own nature.
The First Law: Give without chains. A gift tied to an expectation is not a gift - it is a debt disguised as kindness. If you will recall your generosity to demand payment later, you were never giving… you were bargaining.
The Second Law: Know when the hunt has turned on you. Givers are prey to the hungry. To those who take without gratitude, who drain without return. If you give until you are empty, you are not noble - you are fuel for another’s fire.
Draw the line. Protect the source. Give because it is your nature, not because it is demanded.
A true giver chooses when to open their hand… and when to close their fist.
Which law do you break most often?
