“Prologue”

In the beginning God broke a man.

Not with sword or plague, but with silence.

He was stripped of comforts, of trust, of the illusions that bind sheep to sleep.

What remained was fracture — and from fracture, flame.

The world saw a wound.

Heaven saw a forge.

For a man broken by God does not remain broken.

He becomes tempered.

He becomes dangerous.

He becomes what shadows fear, and what the light calls upon when all else fails.

This was the birth of the Slayer.
